Global Christian Travel Announces Winner of
Free Trip for Two to Israel

Texas Sheriff’s Office Chaplain and Wife will travel in March 2009

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., August 19, 2008 – Jacksonville-based Global Christian Travel has announced the winner of the drawing of an all-expense paid trip for two to Israel.  Brazoria County Texas Sheriff’s Chaplain C.J. Waller was selected for the 10 day tour of the Holy Land.

Global Christian Travel was participating in Christians United For Israel’s Third Annual Leadership Summit in Washington DC last month. Global Christian Travel has recently been designated a “Recommended Travel Partner” by CUFI, and will be working closely with CUFI and their national leadership to maximize participation in the Second Jerusalem Summit. 

To celebrate the new partnership, Global Christian Travel sponsored the Pastor’s Reception at CUFI’s Third Annual Leadership Summit last month, as well as the 10 day tour of Israel.  Generous participation by Global Christian Travel’s parent company Gil Travel in Philadelphia and EL AL Israel Airlines made offering the trip at the CUFI summit possible.  Global Christian Travel is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Gil Travel Group, the leading travel management company sending tourists to Israel.

“I was overcome with emotion when they finally called my name,” said Chaplain CJ Waller, relating the experience of winning.  “You know, the winner had to be present to win, and mine was the third name called!  It was really a roller coaster of emotions there for a moment.  First, you’re hoping you’re going to win; but when you hear someone else’s name called your heart sort of falls a bit.  But then, that person doesn’t claim their prize and the announcement is made they are going to draw another name!  And it’s ‘Here we go again!’  The emotions were amazing.”

CJ and his wife Lisa are planning on taking their trip in March, 2009, just before Passover and Easter will be celebrated in Israel.  “We’ve always wanted to go to Israel, and never thought we’d have the chance.  Now, the Lord has just given this incredible blessing to us.  What an amazing God we serve!”
